Over more than twenty years, the services provided by Jaime J. Navarro Llima have evolved into a dedicated international advisory model serving foreign investors, multinational companies, boards and overseas parent groups operating in Spain and Europe.
Rather than operating as a volume-based general practice, NLL Law Firm works selectively on matters requiring strategic depth, cross-border coordination and high-level legal analysis.

The depth of the practice comes from a combination that is rare in the Spanish legal market: a managing partner who grew up inside the business world — the son of a university professor of economics, an auditor and insolvency administrator — and who has spent more than twenty years litigating and advising on complex corporate and commercial matters, including cross-border litigation, governance disputes, foreign investment structuring and international M&A.

Jaime J. Navarro Llima is a Spanish lawyer specialising in international commercial litigation, governance-related disputes and strategic legal advisory for foreign companies and investors operating in Spain and Europe.
He is the son of Dr. Ángel J. Navarro Gomollón — Professor of Economics at the University of Zaragoza, Auditor and Court-Appointed Insolvency Administrator — and of Doña Esperanza Llima Quintero, herself a Mercantile Professor, Economist, Auditor and Insolvency Administrator.
He grew up inside the business world and has practised law for more than twenty-five years.
He founded Navarro Llima Abogados S.L. law firm in 2003, following years at leading Spanish commercial law firms.
Since then, the firm evolved to a full international law firm practice, evolving to NLL Law Firm, one of the most internationally recognised Spanish boutiques in its practice area, with consistent recognition in Best Lawyers and active membership of the Russell Bedford International network.

A substantial part of his practice is dedicated to advising international clients in cross-border shareholder disputes, governance conflicts, director and board liability exposure, international contractual disputes, asset protection and recovery strategy, and complex multi-jurisdiction litigation scenarios.
His approach integrates governance implications, operational realities, enforcement feasibility, negotiation leverage and long-term commercial objectives — not just procedural execution.
Governance & Subsidiary Control
He advises foreign parent companies in improving governance visibility, operational control, management supervision and independent legal oversight over Spanish subsidiaries — reducing exposure before disputes or liability situations emerge.
Japan–Spain Coordination
Jaime J. Navarro Llima has developed extensive experience advising Japanese companies operating in Spain. He regularly travels to Japan to meet directly with overseas divisions, management teams and headquarters personnel supervising Spanish operations, conducting governance reporting, legal risk assessment and strategic coordination sessions in Japanese.
